Tūhono Trust was established in December 2003 to have a Kaitaki or guardianship role for Tūhono. Currently we have nine regions, Taitokerau, Tanui, Mataatua, Porourangi, Te Arawa, Hauāuru, Takitimu, Te Moana o Raukawa and Te Waipounamu / Rekohu. Presently there are six Trustees.
Druis Barrett – Taitokerau
Iwi and Hapū: Druis is of Ngati Whatua-Ngapuhi descent and her hapū are Uriroroi and Mahurehure.
Rikirangi Gage – Porourangi
Iwi and Hapū: Rikirangi is of Te Whānau -a-Apanui descent.
Anthony Olsen (Chairperson) – Te Arawa
Iwi and Hapū: Anthony is of Ngāti Rangitihi decent
Dr Te Taka Keegan (Deputy Chairperson) – Tainui
Iwi and Hapū: Te Taka is of Waikato-Maniapoto, Ngāti Apakura, Te Whānau-ā-Karuai ki Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Whakaaue decent.
Stan Pardoe – Takitimu
Iwi and Hapū: Stan has whakapapa links to Rongowhakaata and strong links to Te Aitanga a Mahaki and Ngati Kahungunu.
Arapata Reuben – Te Waipounamu
Iwi and Hapū: Arapata is of Ngāi Tahu decendant
