Born in
Nelson and raised in Dannevirke and Wellington, Anthony has over 10 years work
experience in sales and marketing, holding positions both abroad and here in
Aotearoa. Latterly he has been highly visible in Resource Management, including
being a Hearings Commissioner for the Waikato Regional Policy Statement in
2012.

Proud father of three children and one mokopuna
Marae/Hapū:
Anthony is a dynamic contributor to hapū activities including being a trustee
of Ngāti Umutahi Marae and representing the interests of Tūwharetoa ki Kawerau
on the customary fisheries forum.
Iwi:
Anthony currently holds several positions within Ngāti Tūwharetoa organisations
including being a Director of Ngāti Tūwharetoa Group Holdings Ltd, Chairperson
of Ngāti Tūwharetoa Fisheries Holdings Ltd and a Trustee of Ngāti Tūwharetoa
Fisheries Charitable Trust.
National: He
is currently the Consultant Principal of GeoPlan Ltd. A resource management
company based in Whakatāne. In the past
Anthony’s national activities have been extensive and the impact of his skills
and expertise flow from Northland where he worked collaboratively on a number
of projects including with Te Roroa and Te Uriohau, to the south in Christchurch
where he was a key contributor in drafting the Southern Motorway Cultural
Impact Assessment with Ngāi Tuahuriri for NZTA.
